What’s In It For The Baby
Your baby will get the best of you.
Your baby will feel valued and understood.
Your baby will feel secure and well attached.
Your baby will have the opportunity to be themself.
Your baby will have the chance to explore their interests.
“I can’t think of any teachings that have had such a personal transformative effect on my life than RIE. I always felt that Motherhood was simply not for me. The idea and practice of respect for and trust in our children is essential in the way I see and relate to children now. I’ve learned that it's only through our genuine feelings of empathy that a child can feel understood.”

What We’ll Explore Together in Hari’s House
Over 5 weeks, we’ll look at some of the common questions that parents of little ones ask. Each Zoom session is an invitation to slow down, tune in, and discover how much easier parenting can feel when it’s grounded in empathy and trust.
Week 1: Gross Motor & Natural Growth
October 4: Saturday 12pm PST
So many parents wonder: “Is my baby on track? Should I help them roll, sit, or walk?”
This week you’ll discover the magic of letting your child unfold in their own time. You’ll learn why they don’t need extra gadgets or “help,” and how trusting their pace builds deep confidence in both of you.
Week 2: Observation & Trusting Yourself
October 11: Saturday 12pm PST
It’s easy to ask: “Am I holding my baby too much? Do I need to play with them all the time?”
Here we’ll explore the simple practice of observation—watching your child with new eyes. This way of seeing brings you closer, helps you understand their needs, and lets you parent with more calm and confidence.
Week 3: Play & Setting Up a Safe Space
October 19: Sunday 12pm PST
Parents often feel pressure: “Shouldn’t I be keeping them busy? What if they seem bored?”
This week is about reclaiming play as something natural and simple. You’ll see how babies and toddlers thrive with a safe space, time, and freedom and how independent play is a gift.
Week 4: Caregiving Moments
October 25: Saturday 12pm PST
Many parents ask: “Why are diaper changes and dressing such a battle?”
Together we’ll reframe care moments as opportunities for intimacy, delight, and communication. You’ll learn how to invite cooperation, bring empathy into the trickiest routines, and find ease where there was once struggle.
Week 5: Mealtimes
November 1: Saturday 12pm PST
Parents often ask: “Why is feeding my child so stressful? What happens if they won’t eat?”
This week we’ll explore ways to make mealtimes calm, respectful, and enjoyable for everyone. You’ll discover how to create a rhythm at the table that supports your child’s independence and your peace of mind.

Hello, I'm Hari
I’ve spent the last 40 years in California helping parents and caregivers nurture respectful relationships with their children. Now I am delighted to be able to offer this to families around the world.
I am a RIE Associate, Early Childhood Waldorf Educator, and a Pikler Pedagogue candidate.
I live in Venice, California with my husband and two children.
“I love that because of RIE, the phrases "I spend my day chasing after my 2 year old" or "I need to entertain my 2 year old all day" have NEVER come out of my mouth. Those scenarios just don't exist in our daily lives together. The amount of freedom I have to get stuff done, because of her ability and NEED to play independently for a lot of the time....it almost feels like I am cheating!!! :)”
— Joy and Robbie
“Thanks for coming by and helping us with our triplets. It was so useful! I now give them free run of the backyard, we have a water table they are using frequently, I bathe them individually to make it nicer for both of us, and when possible I feed them lunch individually as well. The hitting, hair pulling, and biting has gone WAY down, pretty much right away after your visit. Probably the best thing personally for me is just calmly blocking aggression and not expecting any specific results. Lowering my expectations has helped me not get so frustrated.”
— Elizabeth

“Now our daughters are in college and I can honestly say that everything we learned with Hari in our RIE classes, continues to influence and inform our family relationships. Most importantly our kids are confident, independent, loving, compassionate, empathetic and intensely creative young adults. We learned how to really watch, see, hear, feel and know them. We learned how to sensitively observe so that we could know when it was best to step in, and when best to allow our children the dignity of figuring things out for themselves.
There is no perfect parent. Hari creates an environment that enables parents to learn about themselves in a way that is not judgmental.”
